Google Glass & iBeacons in retail

Together with HighCo we have developed two proof-of-concepts, that will be demonstrated on the HighCo Shopper’s Day on April 24 in Kinepolis Brussels. Shopper’s Day gathers 500 decision makers in retail & fmcg to discuss the latest trends in the retail business.
Augnition & HighCo are showcasing 2 apps that enable retailers to create coupon promotions in new innovative ways.
The first showcase allows a customer to check if a product is in promotion, by scanning the product with Google Glass.
The second showcase uses iBeacons to trigger product promotions on a smartphone by proximity: when the customer is close to the shelf with the product in promotion, the promotion is shown automatically on the user’s smartphone.
In the video, both apps are demonstrated in the HighCo retail lab.
